Swing low

A local price trough with higher lows visible on each side under a chosen detection rule.

A swing low is a measured turning point. Increasing the number of required neighbouring bars produces fewer, broader swings.

If a candle's low is below the lows of the two candles before and after it, a five-bar rule can label it a swing low.

The result depends on the detection rule. A local trough is not automatically support, and it is not an instruction to buy.
